A Random Blood Sugar (RBS) check is a quick and convenient test used to measure the level of glucose (sugar) in the blood at any given time, regardless of when the last meal was consumed. It is commonly used as a screening tool for diabetes or to monitor blood sugar control in individuals already diagnosed with diabetes. Elevated random blood sugar levels may indicate hyperglycemia, which can be a sign of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, especially if accompanied by symptoms like frequent urination, excessive thirst, fatigue, or blurred vision.
